Pearl, where were you before we started working together?
So I remember clearly, this was— I think it was February, February time. I was— my whole body hurt, Vicky. I remember I had neck ache, I had shoulder pain, I was not sleeping very well, I did not know who I was. I was miserable. My relationship with my children was terrible. My relationship with my husband of 17 years was awful. We barely, barely spoke. We were fighting. I've been a practice owner for 11 years now, and yeah, I was just feeling lost, lost, unheard. Alone, um, almost like in a dark hole, a really dark hole that I felt like I just couldn't come out, and my body was completely shut down.
It's, it's a hard reality to face, isn't it?
Mm, it, it really was. And then I was, I was very unsure when I first met you, you know. I thought, oh, you know, what is this about? And, you know, I thought, oh, I, I knew I needed, I needed somebody by my side. Um, but I think the moment I met you, I just felt all— it was all heart and so genuine. Um, I felt really trusted with Vicky, uh, with yourself, you know. And I've been and had lots of coaching in the past, you know. I have had a business for 10 years, so I've had lots of coaches, lots of, um but there was something different about, about you. Straight away I knew that this would be all heart and a significant amount of kindness, endless support, endless support, to the point where, you know, you literally get me out of this, this hole. I felt like I had I felt like I had a, like, a mother walking beside me the whole, the whole, this whole time. And now I've come out the other side, and I wish I had known you before, way before, because I think I would have been in a much better position. Like, I just wish I'd known you years ago. Um, but the stuff that we've achieved in the last 6 months has been, you know, significant. Significant that I'm sleeping now, I eat well, I'm exercising, my relationship has improved. Um, yeah, I feel like I'm living my full life now. So yeah, thank you.
Oh, you're welcome. We're only just getting started. Like, sorry.
I know, um, but you know, just, just in those 6 months of just going all in, having my own accountability and you beside me, um, yeah, has made the world of difference. I— my whole life has changed.
Yeah, and you've changed mine too. What would you say your biggest set of challenges have been or were?
Or in, in my life?
Yeah, just in this time we've worked together, what's been like some of the hardest things that you've, um, had to face and overcome and the support that's been there to achieve that?
So in— I was feeling very stuck being a business owner, and I was told that that was just the only thing to do. You just have to sit there, be a business owner, and just keep going. Um, but the work that I've done with you is that, you know, I faced up to the truth. And we did some— we obviously did those values. Um, you know, we, we dug deeper into the values. We really dug deep into my past life. Um, and we worked out that you know, in this, this stage of my life, that the business is not serving me. And that's probably one of the biggest decisions I've made, is to just say no and stop and reflect back. Um, Vicky has never forced me— you've never forced me to make that decision. This decision has come solely from the work that I've done with you. You know, really digging deep. It's probably one of the hardest decisions I've made, but now that I'm out the other side, I should have made this decision ages ago. But just having you there beside me, supporting me with kindness, with care, with trust, with no judgment, and with dear love as well. It's, um, it's— yeah, you've just really walked me through the whole process. I genuinely feel like a new person and a new woman. I'm not— and I'm not saying that, you know, selling your business is the be-all and end-all. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying, you know, if somebody else is, is in a business and you want to achieve something, you know, Vicky's— I mean, you've literally been beside me.
Yeah.
So yeah, I also can't thank you enough for what you've done.
You've put in the work, Perel.
You have.
You've, you've been really open, ready, and the best student, I must say. Like, it's— you reach out for help. That's one thing you, you are really good at. And look, a lot of us find it really hard to reach out for help. What's been that, that one thing that moved the needle for you that you go, hey, this was what really changed everything for me?
I think when you have, um, you've got to have accountability. So, you know, if you have a coach, definitely have accountability to listen, really listen and hone in, listen, take accountability. And the other thing is to be really vulnerable. I think if you're vulnerable and you share exactly what's going on, you're someone that will will dig you out of that hole. If you've got no accountability, no vulnerability, then, um, you know, this is not going to work. So you've, you've got to have those, um, those aspects if you really want to be helped.
Yeah.
Um, and I think the biggest thing is obviously trusting, trusting you, which I wholeheartedly have trusted because it's just all heart. Like, you're just there, constantly there, even on a Sunday morning. Vicky Samiosios, not feeling good, and you just get me out of this hole. And I've never had that in, in my life and in, in 11 years of business ownership.
Never. Yeah, yeah, I do think a little bit differently. Um, thank you, I appreciate you. And what piece of advice would you have for others in your position or feeling stuck or in dentistry at a point where they don't know what to do next. So what bit of advice do you have for them?
I think they just need to ask for help and trust, trust you. Find a coach to get you out of this hole. You need somebody where you can talk to, somebody that's beside you, someone that, someone like you that, you know, that's That's like— I feel like I can't even express it with words because it's such a deep sense of trust that I've had for you, Vicky Samios, that, that, yeah, you just have to, just have to sign up. Just come and find out. Come and get the help, because if you don't, then your life will be stuck in this circle. And do you want to live your life like that, just being in this, like, a hamster on a wheel? I know I didn't. And now I'm out the other side, and honestly, I feel, I feel like a new woman. And, and as you said, we've only just got started. I know the next 6, 8 months, 12 months are going to be phenomenal for me. I can just feel it. 100%.
Any last things you need to tell someone who may be too scared, um, to, to take that step to even reach out?
Um, I don't think you have to fear because fear doesn't, it doesn't get you anywhere. You've just, you've just gotta just, just sign up. Come and see. Come and see for yourself. Um, and, and trust you because you're one of the best coaches out there. Yeah, literally, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. One of the best coaches I have met in our dental industry. Yeah, you've made a significant difference to not only my life but my entire family. I can't thank you enough, Vicky. You like literally mean the world to me.
And you too, you're most welcome. I appreciate you, and I can't wait to meet your actual family, not like in person, at some point. That'll be really lovely.
You're the biggest fan.
Hey, we even have had a dance party, haven't we?
Yes, yes. K-pop.
Yeah.
And my husband, um, yeah, he just, he adores you because he's got his wife back. He literally has his wife back, and my kids have their mother back.
Yeah.
Thank you. You've literally filled my heart, my life.
You're making me cry, Peril.
Oh no, no, you do. I think you just it, like, even the words that I'm speaking, I just, I can't even express how much gratitude I have for this journey. So anyone that is feeling stuck or, you know, in a rut, or just, just reach out, reach out. You have to, you have to. It's important.
