Every morning when I get up, the first thing I do is I feed my dog breakfast. Now, there are some mornings Maisie is our default alarm clock, letting us know it's breakfast time. But no matter how busy my day might be or how early I have to get up, I don't forget to feed her breakfast. And if you're a dog owner or not, this just makes common sense. You wouldn't let a busy day get in the way from you feeding your dog first thing in the morning. But isn't it interesting how often you forget to feed yourself first thing in the morning? When I say feed, I'm not just talking about food. I'm talking about feeding your mind and your body. It's easy to let a busy day, an early day, get in the way from you feeding yourself. So today I want to share one tip with you to help you supercharge your day. Because when you start your day on the right foot, having a different outlook on the day, everything you look at that day will change for you. Here's the one tip. Have a morning ritual. No matter what it is, do something first thing in the morning to get your mind and body ready for the day. I'll share with you four things I do every morning. Number one, Read when you get up, turn the news off. Open a book, read 10 to 20 pages. Feed your mind. Then visualize your perfect day. Whether you meditate or close your eyes, visualize what the perfect day is going to look like for you. Then journal about it. Take five minutes to write down what you're going to get done that day, what your top three priorities are to make it a perfect day. And then, last but not least, go out and get some exercise. Whether it's a walk around the block, taking your dog out for a stroll, or or hitting the gym, find a way to get your body moving, which all four of these things can be done within the hour. So if you're telling me you don't have enough time, get up a little earlier. Because when you start your day on the right foot and you start your day by taking care of you, you'll be best equipped to spend the day taking care of others. Because you are one mindset. Shift away from greatness until next week. Bear down, focus on the target and strike out the status quo.
