So who's your mentor? Or mentors? Maybe you have more than one. I posed this question to myself yesterday because when I look back at my professional career, there have been various chapters along this journey. With every chapter, I had a goal or a set of goals I was trying to achieve, but I had challenges preventing me from getting there. So each and every chapter required a guide, a mentor to help me overcome those challenges, to achieve those goals. Go back 10 years, when I was at my worst. I hated the insurance industry. I wanted to get out. I was miserable. I found my first mentor. His name was Dan Bergwald. And by hiring me, he made me take a step back in my career. But that step back actually allowed me to take three steps forward. And then the next chapter occurred when Amy and I moved to Colorado. You see, I had a new set of goals, but I had some new challenges. So I had to find a new mentor. And I did. His name was Darren Hardy. I never met the man. Still haven't. But by studying Darren Hardy's work, I allowed myself to go to work on my mindset, which helped me achieve new goals and overcome new challenges. And on and on and on it goes. Each chapter of your life, you're going to have a goal you're trying to accomplish, but you're going to have a challenge that is preventing you from getting there. So you need to find a mentor. Who is that? Think about that. Go back in your career, who have been all the mentors that you have had, and what is that goal you're trying to achieve today? What's preventing you from getting there? And who is that mentor, that guy that you need to reach out to, that could help you overcome those challenges to achieve those goals? So I've tagged a few in my life down in the comments below. I dare you to do the same. Think about all the mentors you've had in your life that have helped you overcome challenges to achieve your goals. Who are they? Tag them in the comments. And today, do me a favor. Go out, think about what your challenges are today, think about what your goals are today, and determine who that mentor could be that could help you achieve your dreams.
