Who here is lost in prospecting opportunity to another broker, you know you're better than really him.
They won the likeability game. You gotta have both. And if you just focus your education at the top prospects, you want to do business, guys, you're going to start attracting better attention. Let me give you case in point. We have a client, Chris Hamilton, down in Dallas, Texas, Fort Worth. Chris applied this strategy with an RFP. Anybody here ever participate in RFPs? I love to call them really freaking pointless, right?
He was going up against seven other brokers, he was the smallest. So he hits the finalist presentation. And they were told at the finalist presentation, oh, by the way, we're gonna have a two month blackout period. We're not making a decision for two months, nor can you reach out to us for two months.
He's like, I'm done. They're gonna forget what I said. So here's what he did. He's a big LinkedIn guy, puts a lot of content out there. He said, every day for two months I'm gonna go on LinkedIn and record a video for them. I'm not gonna name them by name, but I'm gonna teach them. As if I am just teaching them.
Two months later, he gets the phone call. He won. And when he got the call, they said, Chris, one of the reasons we're selecting you, it's because we've been seeing your stuff on LinkedIn. It matched everything you said in the finalist presentation, therefore you had the most credibility. By the way, did I mention that was a one million dollar revenue account?
