People pleasing is the reason you are not growing. Trust me. I'm going to share one tip with you that's going to help you overcome your people pleasing ways. People pleasing actually cost me business. In the past, I would avoid tough conversations with my clients until it was too late and then they would fire me. I can remember avoiding conversations with clients who had larger than usual health insurance increases. And I'd wait and I'd wait and I'd wait and by the time I had the conversation it was too late, they were pissed off and I got fired. Now, as a coach, I realized you cannot people please. You aren't going to grow if you're going to please people. So here's my number one tip that has helped me overcome people pleasing. It's a no before it's a yes. No matter what opportunity you are presented with, I know you want to help everybody. Just apply the rule of it's a no before it is a yes and you will stay more focused on the task at hand and you won't be people pleasing anymore and you will grow your business.
