A youth soccer coach describes the moment his 4- and 5-year-old players executed a basketball pick-and-roll that scored a goal, only to have the referee immediately disallow it. When told they can't run a pick-and-roll with their feet, the coach gave up and told the kids to just run fast and kick hard.

And she kind of looks over at the mentor who goes, uh, coach, you, you can't run a pick and roll. Wait a minute. Just basketball with feet, right? So I call all these little 4 and 5-year-olds in. I'm like, all right guys, what you guys did, awesome. You executed exactly what I said. You did everything I said. But listen, you know, they're not gonna let us do that anymore. So, uh, so what do you want us to do, Coach? I just want you to run fast and kick, kick hard, 'cause I don't know anything about soccer. The first choreographed pick and roll in soccer history.
