Do you fully understand the power of creating amazing connections here on social media and what it can do for your business? Let me give you a really quick example. Over the past six months, I have connected with a woman, a real estate agent. Her name is Sasha, from the beautiful island of Maui. Maybe Amy and I will end up there someday. Well, here's the thing. About six months ago, she made a post on cycling and doing triathlons. It's something I'm passionate about. So I made a comment that led to a conversation and all of a sudden I was giving her some tips on getting consistent with social media. And now we a relationship, we're friends and I have never even met her. Just this past week, she sent Amy and I some beautiful Christmas gifts. A pineapple cutting board, a lei, a sarong, macadamia nuts from the island that are no longer here. Here's the point. Are you actually taking time to make connections?
Part of prospecting today has to get your butt on social media to connect with other human beings. Yes, cold calling, pounding the pavement, rubbing shoulders is part of prospecting. But it can't be your only prospecting plan. When you get on social media and you bring value, you post good stuff and you get consistent with it. Here's what happens if somebody, your target prospect sees something you posted. Maybe it's a hobby of yours, something you're passionate about and they are too. You are now one step closer to doing business. It has never been easier to grab attention, but it's never been harder because guess what, everybody else is doing it. So my question to you is, what are you waiting for now? Will Sasha and I ever do business? I don't know. But I can tell you this. Amy and I ever decided to move to Maui. We already have a real estate agent. So my question to you is, get your butt on social media. What are you waiting for? This is the opportunity for you to create the best connections your business might ever make.
