Dr. Mohana describes Kalam as both an art and a science and an ancient temple-based form of treatment tied to the energy of the Mother Goddess; she says it should be practiced with disciplines and that it is important to introduce Kalam outside its traditional context because it is disappearing.

Mohana, I'm going to ask you something about Kalam because I just introduced the viewers that there is a new website from you about Kalam. Can you explain in a short sentence what is the meaning of Kalam and what is the aim? Why you are doing that here in Holland?
Kalam is a very important art and science together. And it is the ancient, I have to say, form of treatment inside temple we were doing. And if you want to do it outside also you have to take the energy of Mother Goddess and do it outside with all the disciplines. So it is as old as human beings, we have to say. And now somehow I think it's very, very important to introduce to the other world, other countries because it is disappear.
