All right, this is the number one mistake entrepreneurs make. Not delegating early enough. If you're doing everything in your business, you're holding yourself back. I know, because I did the same thing for way, way too long. I thought I had to control everything, and it almost cost me my business. And most entrepreneurs think they can't afford to delegate. And the truth, you can't afford not to delegate. Delegation isn't just about saving time. It's the key to scaling and actually enjoying your business. So today I'm going to break down why delegation is cruc, the biggest mistake I made, and how you can start delegating the right way from day one. Part 1 why entrepreneurs struggle to let go. So I used to believe that nobody could do it as well as me. Talk about the mindset that many entrepreneurs have. A lot of entrepreneurs have this, like, fear of losing control or thinking it's easier to do it themselves or worrying about spending money on help. And here's the big lesson. You know, holding on to every task is the fastest, fastest way to burn out and stall growth. My biggest delegation mistakes. When I finally decided to start delegating, listen, I did it all wrong at first. Mistake number one was I was delegating without a clear system, so employees couldn't execute properly. They had no sop. Mistake number two was hiring too late. So by the time help did come, that that hire was super overwhelmed with so many tasks because it built up over the time that I didn't bring a person in. So they were super overwhelmed and of course they couldn't tackle everything. Mistake number three is Microman. I didn't fully trust my team yet, you know, which was slowing things down. And the lesson, the painful lesson was delegation isn't just about handing off tasks. It's about setting people up for success. And that's what I wasn't doing correctly. So here's what I wish I had done sooner. If I could start over, I would do these three things immediately. First, I would hire a virtual assistant. Early. Even a few hours a week can free up so much time. I document repeatable processes. So I create SOPs, standard operating procedures, which makes delegation basically seamless. And I'd focus on my zone of genius. The CEO should be working on the business, not drowning in admin work. So again, the sooner you delegate, the faster you can focus on growth, innovation, and big picture strategies. Part four on how to start delegating. Not sure where to actually start. Well, here's a simple framework. Make a list of everything you do in a week. Highlight tasks that are repetitive, low impact, or outside your expertise. Find help for that. So a VA or freelancer or employees for those tasks first. Delegation isn't expensive, it's an investment. And it's the only way to scale.
