We have Chris Maddern here with me right now. We're going to. He's the creator of Cloudy, an app for Bitco. Creator the Cloudy app. You've been around for a while. So tell us a little bit about your background. How did you get to where you are now?
Cool. Thank you for having me first. Really excited to be here. My name is Chris, originally from Britain, so moved over to the US about 10 years ago. I have another one of those fun accents like you, and I'm kind of a hybrid of an entrepreneur and an engineer. So formally trained in engineering. Started my background as kind of a computer scientist and software engineer, and I've kind of gradually migrated my way towards kind of the product side of the world. And then now an executive at a software company in New York. And some of the things that you saw in the profile there, Venmo. I bring it up on the topic of BitCloud, because Venmo here in the US is it solves a problem that I didn't know existed when I was in the uk, which is it's really, really hard to send other people money in the US because the system's really, frankly, messed up. And so Venmo is the predominant social payments platform inside of the us and so we were actually working seven, eight years ago through some of the same kind of onboarding frictions and challenges that today BitCloud faces, where one what happens when you create kind of the nexus point of social meets money and kind of where are some of the frictions and the pain points there? And so down the road, I'm really excited to start thinking about how you employ some of those same growth tactics in something like BitCloud.
