Colin Brown walks through NACVA's AI Data University platform, showing how to search by category or keyword, access detailed resource information, and submit new resources through a form that gets reviewed before publishing. The platform tracks resources by content type to help members find AI tools and information.
In this brief video, we're gonna show you how to use NACVA's AI Data University. First, when you come to the home screen, you'll notice that we have a search bar that allows you to search with multiple criteria. So for example, you could select tools and software. You could also go ahead and add a keyword search as well. Let's go ahead and put in video. This will show us all the tools that have video. Or if you choose, you can go ahead and just do a keyword search. It's going to come up with the search results, and then you can simply click on the title of each resource and it will actually give you the actual information. If there are external resources, it will go ahead and give you a link to that external resource. Because this is a member resource, we want you to be able to make it your own. Allowed you to add a resource that you think would be helpful to the rest of the membership. Simply click on Submit a Resource and then enter in a title, a resource link if it's appropriate, and then a description, or put in a prompt that you might be using that, that other members would find helpful. You can select a category, or if you don't find one, you can suggest a category. You can suggest a content type., and you can also select a usage type. We have tags that tag the content, and if you don't find a tag you'd like, you can go ahead and suggest a tag. Then you can put in the author or the authors, the publication, the publisher, and then of course put your own name and your email so that we can give you credit for submitting a resource. Then simply submit your AI resource. It will be added to the database and reviewed before it's actually published. You can also take a look at stats, which are going to show you how many resource items are available in each content type.
