Hey guys, Happy Friday. Thanks for checking this week's Friday video out and thanks for all the support this week. Whether you're watching this Friday video and all of them before, but thanks for rocking with me the whole year. I know we got two months left and definitely thanks for the support. On the poll that I launched this week on Tuesday and that's what I wanted to talk about today. I launched a poll that just had amazing responses, over 3,000 votes I believe. And I talked about what's the hardest part, breaking down interview and applying. And sure it was a little broad and I could have been more specific, but as I scrolled through some of your responses and the comments and I kept seeing the word mechanical or just the process was rigid, the job search process, there wasn't any feeling, you know, you just punch that clock, submit 50 applications or get applications in as fast as you can and it just feels like a lifeless process. I read that from a lot of people who commented on the post and gave me insight which I really appreciated. I really appreciated the authentic responses I got, not just bs. It was really great responses and really painful points that job seekers are going through. And the point I wanted to make here today is that an activity you can do as a job seekers, grab that target role list. You should have one. I hope you have one, whether it's on a Google Doc or printed on your wall of 1520 companies. Look at that target role list and ask yourself does this excite me? Does this role excite me? Am I passionate about it? Does it light me on fire at all? Have I talked to amazing people in that role? And so when you, when you sure there's going to still going to be automatic rejections, there's still going to be B.S. that makes the job search process mechanical. But one of the things that making it so mechanical is that you're waking up and applying to roles that you have no interest in, that you don't even want to be. And you just, and I do understand just needing a paycheck, but you're not even, hey, I don't even know where this company's at. I just, I just, I'm applying to 50 a day and that's what I set up for myself. So take a second, take 10 minutes, go back to that target role list and just review all those roles. Review those 1520 and look at them. Hey, am I really interested in this? And is this a role I can see myself in that's going to help take away those mechanical feelings and that, hey, this is just a grind. It's going to add some more passion and life and energy. And lastly, go talk to people in those roles. It's going to help you a lot more than just sitting there and applying. As always, I love to say conversations over applications any day of the week. Thanks for tuning into this week's Friday video. As always, questions, comments, insights below. Have a great rest of your Friday and a great weekend. Thanks so much for taking a look at this video guys.
