Short YouTube video by Dominic Imwalle offering three practical networking principles: (1) have a strategy (track target roles/contacts using any system), (2) be authentic in conversations (honest about knowledge/experience), and (3) proactively talk to people everywhere (be ready to meet contacts anytime). The video is informal, anecdotal, and aimed at actionable tips for job/role networking.

Guys, happy Friday. Thanks for checking this video out. Once again, I appreciate it. This week I was talking all about networking for David and I's upcoming guide, and I hope you guys got to see all the, you know, trials, tribulations I went through and just tips and tricks I learned along the way. For today's Friday video, I just wanted to give you guys three quick principles that I've really used and that I've seen are necessary after I've looked back on all my network experiences. So the first one is having a strategy in place. I don't care if it's using an elaborate Excel document for you or if it's pen and paper. I was on the pen and paper track. I had my target role and the people I was connecting with underneath each of them. But you need to be strategic about it. Whether you're super niche about what industry you're contacting or what role you're reaching out to, be strategic because it's going to pay off in the long run and things are going to happen a little bit quicker as well. You're going to see a little bit more traction when you network with a strategy. The second thing I wanted to bring up is that you need to be authentic in the process. Come to conversations and please be honest. People can sniff out real quick when you're trying to act deeper than you are or saying you've accomplished things that you haven't. Come to the conversation and say, hey, I have a question about this. I'm genuinely curious about this. Just be there, be present, and don't lie. Seriously, it just boils down to that. You I've gotten on numerous calls where people try to act like they know everything or they've done all these things and when all reality they haven't. So be super authentic when you're networking. And the last thing is you need to get out there and start and talk to people. Just talk to people in general. I saw a post this week of someone I know that they met their future boss. They were sitting from them across the aisle on an airplane. Like you never know who you're going to run into. So make sure you're ready to have those conversations when you're walking the dog or going to the grocery store. Be willing to talk. Be willing to look someone in the face, smile, say hello, introduce yourself. Be willing to have those moments and it's going to go a long way for you when you are networking, because NETWORKING'S SERIOUSLY HAPPENING 24 7. So thanks for checking out this Friday video as always questions. Comments below. If you want to see something in upcoming Friday video, feel free to message me. But thanks for checking this video out and you guys have a great rest of your weekend.
