A short YouTube advice video about crafting an effective LinkedIn headline. The speaker emphasizes that the headline is the first thing people see and should contain industry-relevant keywords, clearly state what you want to be known for, and reflect your authentic personality or measurable value (e.g., numbers). He encourages testing and iterating the headline over time, soliciting feedback, and adding personal details to stand out. The video references David Mendoza as prompting the topic and closes with a call for comments.

Hey guys, happy Friday. Thanks for tuning in once again. I really appreciate it. I believe we're on the seventh or eighth Friday video now, so it's been awesome to have your support and it's been a fun journey filming these every week. Last week on the Friday Post, David Mendoza, a good friend of mine, wanted to know more about the LinkedIn headline. So that's what we're going to jump into today. What I want to get off right off the bat for you guys is that the LinkedIn headline is very important, right? It's the first thing people see when they come to your profile and it's what your going to be known by, right? So be cautious of what you have in there and know, you know what's going on with it and what keywords you have and what you're using at all times. But to the first point that I wanted to touch on is keywords, right? You should have keywords relevant for your industry and what you're doing. You'll see career coach in mind. And that's, that's primarily why I'm on LinkedIn all the time is right? You see me serving job seekers and helping them through their process and I want to be known as a career coach. Second is, and David, you know, I've struggled with building out my LinkedIn headline. I think everyone does at some point. And David asked me one of the most important questions when he was helping me kind of craft mine and work through it. What do you want to be known for, right? And for me, right, it was, I prescribed straightforward career advice, right? And that's what I want to be known for. So think about that, ask yourself that question when you're trying to build yours out and don't be afraid to play around with it, right? I wouldn't go changing it every day, but mine's evolved over the last year and sometimes I, you know, have certain things in there and certain things out and I'm just testing to see what works and everything like that. So don't feel odd about changing it and, and be ready to kind of take advice and ask for other opinions. Lastly, I just wanted to touch on that. It's you, right? Make it you. If you can include some numbers or value you've got, you've created, obviously, that's awesome. But are you an environmentalist at heart? You know, are you an animal lover? Like, show me something about you. It's going to be ten times more interesting and I'm probably going to be, you know, have a little bit of a soft spot for that person and whatever they put there because they're being so transparent with me. So these are my thoughts on the LinkedIn headline. Feel free to drop any, you know, questions, advice, things you want to add onto that list down below. I know it can. It can. You can dive into a rabbit hole with these. But thanks again for the support and have a great rest of your weekend.
