Short YouTube monologue by Dominic Imwalle promoting his upcoming guide "The Prescribed Motion: The Thriving Guide for Young Professionals" (pre-order; release date June 14). The speaker contrasts two archetypes — "Caroline the Connector" (proactive networker) and "Johnny Jobseeker" (passive applicant) — arguing conversations and in-person/real exchanges open more career opportunities than lurking or only messaging on LinkedIn. The video ends with an invitation to comment, ask questions, and request future topics.

Hey guys, Happy Friday and thanks for checking out this Friday video. Appreciate all the support this week with David and I launching the pre order for our upcoming guide the Prescribed Motion, the Thriving Guide for Young Professionals. We're looking forward to getting that in your hands on June 14th. And if you want to find out some more information and get your pre ordered copy, go ahead and head over to my profile in the feature section. It's right there and I'll tell you all about it with today's Friday video. I wanted to jump into my post yesterday and keep it short. I'm out enjoying some PTO and trying to stay disconnected and off LinkedIn. So with yesterday I talked about Caroline the Connector and Johnny Jobseeker and who is more infection in their job search. It was pretty obvious who it was, right? Caroline Connector I love and the motivation came from the idea that going out and having conversations in your career is going to open so many more doors and and I wholeheartedly believe in that. It's opened doors for me to job opportunities, starting my own business, partnerships I never even thought of, and people opening my eyes to some things I was doing completely wrong. So putting yourself out there, stop lurking behind LinkedIn and just living in the IMs and taking the conversations offline will do so much more for you in your career. Go talk to people who are in the role you want to be in or at the company that you want to be in and then apply and follow up and do all those great things. But start it with a conversation and it's going to open many more doors. I promise you that. So thanks for tuning in to this Friday video. As always. Questions, insights? Leave them below. If you want me to cover something in next week's Friday video, feel free to message me or leave it below as well. Have a great rest of your weekend guys.
