Hey, everybody, Kenny Chapman here, the blue collar coach, your partner in profitability, coming to you with a little message this month as we wrap up the year, about 2015. And I know you're getting bombarded by all kinds of different things. Last year, I wrote my column this week about the fact that New Year's resolutions don't work and why they don't work. And you might want to dig back and find that blog post from the past and take a look at that, because that's still 100% true, and I believe in that. But I won't take you down that same path again. What I want you to do is start thinking about 2015 and what's going to different. You know, I wrote this book, the Six Dimensions that Changed several years ago now, but it's still a platform that works. Our clients use it. I've got people not even in the industry, because the book's not about the industry. It's a platform, though, for you to be able to create change. A way for you to be able to strategically structure and to find out exactly what it is that you want to focus on, why you want to focus on that, and what we can do to improve those results. So just in a nutshell, we'll just. Just run through them real quick. The change is an acronym that I created, starts with clarity. You've got to know what you want. Most people just kind of wander aimlessly through life, bouncing from one job to the next, bouncing from one position to the next, not really taking responsibility for what it is that they specifically want. We've got to start with clarity, first and foremost. Then we move to the H, which is habit. Studies say up to 85% of what we do on a daily basis comes from habit. That used to kind of concern me, and go, man, we're only engaged 15% of the time. Well, this can be a gift and a curse. So the reality is you want to just examine your habits and make sure those habits are driving to the direction of the clarity that you have of what you specifically want. Then we move to a action. Nothing happens without action. I'm talking massive action. Plenty of people can daydream. Plenty of people can write a business plan. Plenty of people can vision what they want and sit there and picture the perfect world, the perfect life, the perfect relationship, the perfect success model. But it takes massive action. And you've got to get out there, get off the couch, get engaged, get in the game. Then we move to the end and change. Never give up, period. I mean, that's all I really need to say, but it's almost oversimplified to where people are like, oh, yeah, I always hear that. Well, that you hear it for a reason. Don't give up until you get what you want. You might get bounced around, need to change direction a little bit from time to time, but you stay focused on that clarity of what you're doing and why you're doing it. And don't ever give up on what you want. Then we'll move to G. Gratitude. Gratitude is huge in Western culture. Western societies we just think so much about gimme, gimme, gimme. We blame game. It's the government, it's this party, it's that party. It's the market, it's the economy, it's all these different things. All those things are realities and come into play of certain things that affect our lives. But we've got it really, really good and we need to think about those things as we head into the next year. Here then, last and certainly not least, is the E. E stands for enthusiasm, man. Have some fun. Get out there, find something that you're passionate about. Most people just wander around and they're just kind of, oh, blah, blah, it's another day, it's another dollar, it's another relationship, whatever that is. Get fired up, find something that makes you tick. If this isn't it, then find something that you can get behind and become enthusiastic about. Those are the six dimensions of change. And trust me, you can build any kind of life that you want using a platform like this. I'll see you in 2015 until we talk again. Have a better than fantastic day and I'll see you next time.
