Hey everybody, Kenny Chapman here, the blue collar coach, coming to you with a quick message about some leadership essentials today, about some principles that we want to keep in the forefront of our mind. I just got off phone with our group coaching that we do with our wonderful clients all over the country. And we're talking about spring cleaning today. So here we are as we're heading into spring. What are the things mentally we need to do? Sherry and I are here with a massive project week this week as she's in the home office getting things done. Say hi, Sherry. Hey everybody. So we're grinding it out here, getting a bunch of work done and bringing more tools and development ready for you. But just thinking about spring cleaning, four things I want you to kind of focus on when we look at this. Number one, set clear objectives. You've got to really look at the objectives that you're setting for your team. Whether that's sales goals, whether that's conversion rates on the phone, whether that's company department goals based on managers, whatever the case might be. You've got to have objectives that people understand what their goal is and what the requirement necessary to get there is. And then kind of coaching them and holding them accountable along the way. Second thing, lead by example. Now that doesn't mean that you have to be the best call taker, the best dispatcher, the best salesperson, the best technician, whatever those are. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about doing what you say you're going to do. I'm talking about when you create culture, when you have messaging to your team, make sure that you're representing that. Make sure that you're bringing your best to the game so you can lead by example. Three, make things personal with your team. A lot of people go against the grain with me on this. People go, no, Kenny, this is business. This isn't about personal relationships. And you can't have that. Get over yourself. This is life, people. Business is a huge part of life. And guess what, it's a huge part of your team members personal Life. They spend 50, 60, 70 hours a week in that uniform with their family at work. It is personal. As a leader. Get personal. That doesn't mean you've got to go to the bar with them and hang out at night. That just means that you got to truly care about an individual. Okay, so do make it personal. Find out about what's going on in their lives, how you might be able to help improve them at a personal level. Because guess what? The better they get personally, the better they get professionally. Last thing I want you to remember as we do this is be unique. You know, one of the things I talk about a lot is authenticity in leadership. And I want you to be authentic with who you are. I want you to be authentic as a leader. When you're looking at what your marketing looks like, the messaging you bring into the marketplace to put people into your funnel, when you're looking at how you communicate with your team so they communicate your brand effectively as we continue to generate more leads and grow. So those are the things I really want you to think about as you get into spring cleaning here this week. So I want to thank you for your time this morning. Until we talk again, have a better than fantastic week and we'll see you soon.
