Hey, my friends, Kenny Chapman here, the blue collar coach, coming to you with a version of Freedom Friday Focus. Now, don't get hung up on the title, but it is very serious, it is very real. But one of my best friends lost his father on Tuesday this week. Now, having grieved in that same capacity in a different way in the past, I wanted to take that and I wanted to share a couple things with you this week. So one is he's doing very good. His brothers are doing well as well. And what had happened is his father had been sick and in pain for a while. And one of those things, and they went in and sat by dad and said, you know, do you want to keep fighting? And he just looked at him in peace and he said, no, I'm done. And within a few days, he had transitioned to his next life. Right, so what does this mean to you? What does this mean to us? What does this mean when all of us will get to this point where we take our last breath? None of us know when that's going to be, right? So there creates the time and space right there becomes the gap that you get to live your life in. And that's right, you get to live your life in. A lot of Americans got up this morning. A lot of Canadians got up this morning. A lot of Australians got up this morning in free countries with the ability to do what they want to do and have the life they want to have and live where they want to live and work where they want to work. And they got up frustrated and they got up mad and they got up pissed off and they got up, you know, not thinking about the fact they're going to be lying there ready to take their last breath one day. So let me ask you this, what are you fighting for now? I'm not big on fighting. My buddies give me a hard time. I don't even watch mma, right? I'm not big on that stuff. I like abundance, I like collaboration. I like, you know, all those types of things. But I want to focus on what are you working for, right? So many people spend so much time until they realize that we're here to live. And whatever you do for living or consider work or whatever, you need to find something that works within your unique ability, your passion, all those different types of things. But whatever that is, you got up today for a reason. There's a why, right? In coaching, we talk about the question behind the question. Let me ask you this, why did you get up? When I say, what are you working for? There's a bigger reason behind it. Now, the next thing is once you reconcile that and go, okay, this is my why, it might be just, you know, whatever it is, it doesn't matter if it's a job that you're not a fan of. As you're transitioning through, there's different reasons at different times. I get this. But the next question becomes, what are you living for? And that's really the important part. My friends and I shoot a video for you every Friday, and I entitle it Freedom Friday, because that's what it's about. You have freedom in your life. And sometimes you might go, oh, no, I can't do it, because the kids. I'm out by the pool today. There's kids playing in the pool and different things going on. And you got a lot of reasons why you can't do things, but what are the reasons that you can? Because at some point in your life, you're going to end up where my buddy's father was on Tuesday. What you do between now and then is your choice. I'm here for you every step of the way until we talk. My friends, have a better than fantastic Friday.
