Hey, my friends, Kenny Chapman here, the blue collar coach, your partner in profitability, and I just want to touch base today. So every week we have this awesome call with our Titanium Club clients and we air our dirty laundry and we talk about challenges. I just want to jump on periodically here after one of those calls and share a couple thoughts with you and answer any questions, if I can, that you might have just have a little conversation. So I've got my laptop here where, you know, I haven't figured out. I posted yesterday on Facebook. So if you know this, please, please help me with this as far as how to get the app in Windows to use my webcam so I can do all this at once. Because now I have, you know, the lovely Christie's shooting the shot for me, but I've got a. I've got to kind of figure out what this looks like. So anyway, if you have any questions, please jump in, ask me something. I'll bounce over there periodically and go from there. So, you know, today, wow, first time I'm shooting this Facebook Live video, and we went deep today. And, you know, I'm not going to talk specifically about any of our clients. I'll never do that. Everything that we do is 100% in confidence. I'm going to talk to you about me and some of the things that I take away and some of the things that I learn. This past week, I was at the Genius Network live event, the annual event. Incredible, incredibly smart entrepreneurs there. Bonus session with Daymond John and Jay Abraham on Wednesday and all these things. And I kind of like to think I'm a pretty big thinker, right? But then you get in a room around some people and it's like, holy smokes, right? So if you're watching this, I hope you're coming to Service World here in a couple weeks. If you're in our space, it's going to be an awesome show. We're going to be there. I have the unbelievable opportunity to keynote there. I'm really excited to get on the stage and share some really cool information with you. Beyond that, we have our sales and marketing event coming up in January. Super excited about that. We have a private Titanium Group event we're doing here in Phoenix. So, yeah, you can see I'm a little stark in here. I'm in my new office in Scottsdale, and we don't have everything kind of put together yet, so we're slowly but surely. So you'll kind of see things come together as we go. But, you know, one of the things I Just kind of want to touch base on today or I'll say maybe two things. And one is I want you to think about. Think about your life and think about that we're going somewhere in a vehicle together. When you think about your life, when you think about your business, when you think about really what you do, are you the passenger or are you the driver? So think about it. Your life. There's a map, there's a point A and there's a point B. There's a beginning destination, there's an end destination. Are you going to ride shotgun and hopefully influence what the driver does a little bit? Are you going to hop in the back seat and be that infamous, quote unquote, backseat driver? Are you going to maybe ride in the travel trailer behind the vehicle? I mean, you know, it's like, holy cow. I mean, there's all these different angles. You could be in the sidecar of a motorcycle. So my point is that what's interesting is oftentimes, for whatever reason, in our minds, we have this tendency to think that we can be the passenger and yet still control the destination. And in business specifically, you can own the company, you can be the president of the company and still be a passenger in your business. Think about that now. How so? Right. How can I say you can be a passenger when you're the owner, obviously you're the driver. Well, you might make the decisions, but where that company is going is largely based on your culture, and your culture is bigger than you. We've been talking for about a month now with our titanium group about culture, and we've been teaching process and strategy around how important it is. And I remember I was posting a little bit this past week about how much relationships matter. And my buddy Kelly Scholz, he was a client. I spoke on stage and he came back to the back of the room and he bought everything that I had, including on sites. I mean, he bought my programs, he bought everything on sites. A whole nine yard joined titanium right out of the gate, ready to rock and roll. Had had a tragedy in his life that he was very challenged by. And what happened is we became very close very quick because of his life situation and my life situation. We became friends. So he was a client. He was a really good client. Right. Clients that spend a lot of money and are great to be around good clients. Right. But no, he was a great client. And then he became a really great friend. And now I ended up selling him part of our service business and he's a great business partner now as well. So Client, friend, business partner. Now all three. And one of the things that attracted me to want to sell him part of the stock of that business was his focus on culture. And now what Robin and he are doing at our own business and how they're shifting the culture, how the team is a part of shifting that culture is, it's just fascinating and it's fantastic. And too often we get stuck. And I want you to think about that today. If you feel that you're stuck, right? Let me just jump over here real fast. So if you feel that you're stuck, maybe you need to look at your seat, maybe you need to look at who's driving, right? I just came from this genius network event and they showed a video about what Uber is doing with the self driving car situation, right? And everybody's tripping out and they're freaking because of it here, what, a month and a half or two months ago, maybe there was a, there was an accident and it was by one of these self driving car things, right? And so what's fascinating is they're dumping all this money into self driving. This is a reality. A gentleman by the name of Peter Diamandis, you should check him out. If you're not familiar with Peter's work, Founder of the X Prize, largely responsible for where we're going as personal space travel dude is trying to drill on an asteroid right now that's worth $4.2 trillion. Some crazy. Like I can't even fathom what they're talking about, right? But my point is in his talk that he gave and he showed this video of the Uber self driving cars and now they're testing certain markets and I haven't seen it in Phoenix yet. You just kind of get old people driving you around an Uber here, but nonetheless they have these, they're already running these self driving cars and they have a driver in there just to make sure if the car goes off track, then you got somebody there to get it back on track, right? And as they're testing this, they're testing it, they're testing it and you're watching it happen and you're watching, literally the guy's just sitting there like this and the steering wheel's doing its thing. You come up to a red light and the car stops. I mean, it's mind boggling. And Peter said from the stage, he said, ladies and gentlemen, I have two five year old twin boys and my boys will never have a driver's license, they'll never own a car. Parking garages are going to go away because we're not going to need cars. And you and I are going to see this in our lifetime, depending on your age. And what's interesting to me is, as I was watching that video of the car driving itself with the person behind the wheel kind of ready in case. I want you to think about that for your business. Okay? So I'm talking about your passenger or your driver. What if your car was the driver? What if your business became the driver? What if your culture became the driver? What if your values became the driver? What if everything that you channeled into that, the energy that you put into that organization became the driver of the organization? And you were able to sit and just monitor and watch and, oh, we're getting off track here. Let's make sure we get back there. What about that? See, sometimes if you want different results, you have to think differently, right? What got you here won't get you there. If you're sitting in the passenger seat or if you're in the backseat, you. And the car goes off, whack. You don't have time to jump to that wheel. You don't have time to fix things. Therefore, you go in the ditch, you roll the car, you get it back on its top, and you start limping down the road. Like so many of us do in our organizations, so many of us do in our personal lives, so many of us do with our financial situations, right? I want you to think about that, my friends. I want you to. To just take a little bit of time this week and consider when are you driving and when are you being a passenger, right? The way that you do something is the way that you do anything. And we had a little conversation around balance this morning with our titanium club, and it was a very interesting conversation of how different people view balance and different people think about balance. And balance is a fickle thing. Personally, I think it comes down to how you probably find balance, because I see people that are very balanced, and they have a phenomenal marriage, and they love their spouse like nobody's business, and they're dead broke. They don't make any money, so they love their spouse, but they live at a poverty level. I don't think that's balance. I see people here. We just moved into this killer place in Scottsdale. It's got this awesome gym and all this stuff. So Christy and I are at the gym every day, and we see people that are just ripped and dudes that are all yoked up and all this, and, you know, they're in great physical shape and Then they have a disaster relationship, they have a bad job, right? So you see this all across the board. Daymond John was there this week. I got to talk to him for a little bit. Got a picture with him. I posted on Facebook. And when Damon talks about the Shark Tank stuff and different things, and I'm not going to air his laundry because it's kind of a tight group, but he did talk about balance and he talked about it from little machine shut off here for a second, what's going on? So he talked about it from a perspective of, yes, I'm not going to look at that anymore. Nonetheless, he talked about balance. He talked about, as he was growing fubu, a brand that's done over six and a half billion with a B over the course of his ownership of it and launching it in his mom's spare room and all that. And it's like, you know, it's fascinating when you hear somebody's story about how out of balance many, many high level entrepreneurs are, many of us that seek excellence. The thought leaders, the drivers, the people that we're building, businesses, we're changing the world, right? All of us, you included. And sometimes that's tough to be in balance. And I want you to think about that. So what's your level of balance and where are some areas that you might want to pick it up, kick it up, change it a notch and then what's your seat in the car? I want you to think about your business, think about your life. It's your vehicle. Are you stopping and fueling it up? Right? I mean, you can't. It's amazing here in the Scottsdale market how many Tesla there are. I just mentioned them. But I mean, you know, it's a fast growing company and all that. But you know, in fact, right down here, there's a little charging station in our parking lot at the complex we're in. And you know, they pull up there and people park overnight and they try to catch the spot when it's open to plug in the car and charge it. Are you taking some time to charge your car? If you have a Tesla and you just drive it and drive it and drive it, you never stop and, you know, plug it in, it's gonna die. It's gonna leave you on the side of the road stranded. Same is true with you, with your body, with your life, with your business, right? So how are you taking care of that car? You taking it to the car wash, cleaning those wheels, getting the oil changed? I guess not in a Tesla, right, but are you doing the maintenance that you need to do? Are you taking care of those things? And then where are you sitting in the the car? I want you to be a driver, but I want you to create a vehicle that drives without you 100%. And then you're guiding and you're steering when necessary. Your team wants this. Your team wants to be led. You have it. You've got it in you. My buddy Les Brown taught me that. You've got more, my friend, and I want to see it, and I want to see it soon. Love to see your comments, love to hear your feedback. Hit me up anytime. We're here to help. It's part of my personal purpose, my vision, my mission, what I do, my unique ability. This is what I do. I'm here on this planet to help you get more of what you want. Until we talk again, my friends, have a better than fantastic week, and we'll talk to you very soon.
