Are YOU using your tools?

Kenny Chapman noticed trained technicians stop using proven tools when disrupted, then realized leaders do the same thing. He says leaders must model consistent tool use and keep their teams accountable. He's promoting a Titanium TAKEOFF workshop starting in three weeks with limited spots.

Hey, my friends. Kenny here. I just want to touch base real quick. Lovely. Christy and I are here in Arizona taking care of some business that needs to be done for specialists. We need to see for her, but that's a whole other story. I wanted to talk to you really quickly this morning, or this afternoon, rather, about. We had our weekly Titanium Coaching Club call today. Really great conversation. Some powerful things that came about that I've been thinking about how our technicians put down their tools. We've been seeing some things with clients, with our own businesses, where it's like you train and you train and you train, and these guys know that it works and it works and it works. And one thing throws them off track, they'll stop doing it. I've talked to you about this before. You see it in different technicians, different things that. How people respond, how they react. Different. Different things like that. Here's what I want you to do today. Though, if I could flip this around, I can't really make it a mirror for myself. But here's what I want you to really realize. Use that as a mirror for yourself. See, that's human behavior. That's human nature. Now, you're a performer. You're probably a peak performer. If you're watching this, you're probably playing at the top of your game. You're doing amazing things, right? But think about yourself. You do the same thing. You get away from things that work. I know. I see it with myself, see it with our team. Different areas, friends, peers, colleagues, clients, whatever it is, let's stop pointing the finger and say, wait a minute. If that's human nature, and I have that tendency, if I, as a leader can get away from things that work, then let's recognize that first you pick up your own tools, get back to making sure that that's working, and then remember that for your team, when you see them off track, just pick them up, get them right back on track a little bit. But remember, it all starts with you. The only difference between your company and all the competition out there is you as the leader. Then that makes the team. The team executes at a certain level based on you as the leader. Then you get specific, measurable, predictable results. But you got to use the tools. Use your tools first. Then get your team using theirs and keep them on track. Titanium TAKEOFF workshops three weeks from tomorrow. Hope you join us at the last minute. We do have a couple spots left. Love to have you shoot me an email if you want to be there. Otherwise, until we talk again, have a better than fantastic day. We'll see you soon.
