Kenny Chapman (the "blue collar coach") records a short video from Comfort Tech 2013 warning that many contractors who attend trade shows fail to implement changes afterward. He emphasizes that information is abundant but execution is rare: attendees should list concrete action items, re-engage with their business plans, and implement at least one change the following week. He offers assistance and closes with a sign-off.

Hey, everybody, Kenny Chapman here, the blue collar coach coming to you live from Comfort Tech 2013. As we're getting ready to wrap up the trade show where Blue Collar Success Group, we had a booth here this week, made a lot of great contacts networking with our clients. And if you were here, it was wonderful to get to talk to you. If you weren't here, then that's all good too. But here's what I want to share with you this week. The biggest tragedy of the week. Biggest tragedy of the week is this. I don't know how many here, maybe a thousand. Whatever it is, a big number of contractors came through this show this week. And the big tragedy is a big number of these contractors aren't going to do anything different next week than they did the week before. They came here and they spent this money and they might have good takeaways and they might have good notes, but what are they going to do? What's your action item? You guys know I've been talking a lot lately about action, about execution, about doing something different, about spending time doing what you need to do to improve a result. Now, if you didn't come, come to Comfort Tech, don't worry about it. Because guess what? You know, some things that you need to do for the business, they might not be things that you want to do, but there's some things that you need to do. Get re engaged, figure out what is your plan, what's your list look like on Monday, how many things are on it, what does it relate to? Now go make that happen. That's the key. Because we know as an industry that the information is everywhere. We've got tons of free information, all kinds of consultants, Best practices group have all kinds of information out there. But very few contractors succeed because they fail to execute. That's a tragedy to me and I guarantee you we're going to see it this week as well. But that doesn't have to be you. So this week, do something different. Build your list, figure out your plan, get after it. If we can help you with anything, by all means, don't hesitate to give us a haul. I'm Kenny Chapman, the blue collar coach wrapping up here at comfort tech 20 seen until we talk again. Have a better and fantastic day and I'll see you next week.
