Hey, my friend Kenny Chapman here, coming to you with a quick message from Crescent Bar Washington. We're here staying with a buddy and his family at the wonderful condo that they have. Take a look at this, Christy. Show them what this view is like up here and the river, the Columbia river down there where we were on yesterday afternoon. We're getting ready to get back on today. We just got a little workout in, ready to hit the water. But here's the message today, don't suck now, don't stop just yet. Give me a moment, okay? Don't suck at really matters, what's really important to your business and to your life. So I had a great lesson yesterday. I've water skied before, it's been many, many years and I was able to get up one time before and whatever. So yesterday we go out on the boat, my buddy hops in the water and he pops right out like nothing. And he's shredding, wakes back and forth and doing all this stuff and comes cruising in and drops the rope, you know, and just all the per. You've all seen that happen before, right? So I'm like, he's done this quite a bit. Okay. I'm a little bit nervous, a little excited. So now his 18 year old daughter, his youngest daughter jumps off, okay, gets her ski on, pops right out of the water. She's shredding, wakes back and forth. We come around, okay, we, she's done. And now he looks at me and he says, okay Kenny, you ready? You want to do it? I said, alright. So I strap on this like pro style ski which I had no business being on anyway, but it's the ski that he had that I could use. And we get in the back and it's all lined up and then there's two words that were game changing for me. Okay, so they say, hit it when you're ready. So I'm back there struggling around, trying to get position right. I say, okay, hit it. And just like that I get lunged forward, I get drugged what feels like a couple football fields. I gained £20. All the water that I ingest because I'm being drugged through. I finally let go and I'm like gasping for air, going, you know, spitting, hacking, coughing, just like, oh my gosh, I suck at this. But here's the question I pondered a little bit later yesterday afternoon and I'm like, does that really matter that I suck at water skiing? Is that really life changing for me or my family? See what happens when I came up gasping for air, when I'M wondering if I'm gonna get my next breath. Too many contractors run their daily operations like that. Like, thank God they've got some sort of a life vest on, so they're not completely drowning. They're just dipping their head in and coming up for air. Stop running your business that way. That's not what this is about. It's about digging in. It's about doing the things that really matter most to me. Water skiing isn't the most important to Buddy. He's had a place here for 20 years, raised his family here. They've skied. It's a different situation for him. Therefore, it's important. If I want to commit the time, the 10,000 hours, whatever it takes to become an expert, certainly I could do it. But that's not my area of importance. My area of importance right now to me is being a good business partner, being a good leader, being the best coach and trainer, bringing the best materials like our billion dollar marketing system to the market. Those are the things that matter to me. Being a good husband, providing for the lovely Christy, those things matter to me. And that's. Don't want to focus. What about you? Are you a phenomenal golfer and you suck at business? Stop it. Pay attention to the things that matter most and create the life that you desire and deserve. I'm Kenny Chapman. Until we talk again, don't suck and have a better than fantastic day. Talk to you soon.
