Kenny Chapman (the "blue collar coach") recounts a home power outage where although main systems (like AC) restarted, many rooms remained dark until someone turned on lights. He uses this anecdote as a metaphor: businesses and personal lives have blind spots (rooms left dark) that won’t resolve until intentionally illuminated—use tools (floodlight, flashlight, laser pointer) to increase awareness and take action. The piece is a brief motivational prompt and call-to-action toward greater awareness.

Are you in the dark? Let me do this real quick. Where's it at? Oh, dark on, light off. Hey, check it out real quick. Kenny Chapman, the blue collar coach. I want you to think about being in the dark last night. I'm at home. The light, the power goes out. I wake up, and all the powers out in the house, and I'm like, what's going on? And Christy was already awake, and I said, what's up? And she said, it's not just our house. It's the entire area. And I got up and I went out and I looked out back and I went, wow. There's. Across the wash. There's a commercial shopping center and all, and it's completely dark. You felt that. You've seen that. You've. When the lights are out, an entire area, entire town feels a little creepy. Can be a little bit he. Right. Think about your life, think about your business, because here's what I want you to think about as you head into the weekend. Eventually, the power came back on, my friends. The power was back on, and the AC kicked back on. All is good in the world, right? But here's what we forget in our lives. The rest of the house remained dark. The AC kicked on because it had a call of action. It said, it's warmer than it should be in here. Therefore, we have something to do. However, the guest room, the laundry room, the closet, the kitchen, all those rooms remain dark. The lovely Christie studio remained dark. My office nook right here remained dark. Until what? Until there's action. You lit, and guess what? Look, it looks pretty light right now. But now watch what happens. Oh, there's even. I didn't know there could be more light. Where is that showing up in your business? Where's that showing up in your life? You've got blind spots. Shine some light. Get a floodlight, get a flashlight. Get a laser pointer. Find something to create more awareness for you. I'm Kenny Chapman, the blue collar coach. Until we talk, make it a better than fantastic day, and we'll see you very soon. Cheer.
