A short motivational YouTube coaching video by Kenny Chapman (the Blue Collar Coach) about "gauging your gut": how to distinguish genuine intuition from fear when making business and personal decisions. Chapman uses concrete anecdotes—missed hires/promotions, following a proven service model (Justin Deese), becoming an E-Myth coach, travel observations about clarity in other countries—and a mentor lesson from Les Brown ("get out of your head and get into your greatness") to advise listeners to lead with purpose and trust their instincts.

You know how you've had that gut feeling that's undeniable, and you can't really put your finger on it, but you know specifically what you need to do. You also know that time that you've had that resistance, you've had a little bit of a feeling, but you went ahead and made that new hire, you went ahead and made a promotion. You went ahead and made a little side deal with a technician to get a job done that one time. And you know how that worked out. You know how that worked for you. I'm Kenny Chatham, the blue collar coach, and I want to talk to you about gauging your gut today. We can talk business plans, we can talk vision, we can talk clarity, we can talk culture, we can talk communication, we can talk all of those things, and they all come down and resonate right through here. Many years ago, I became a certified E Myth coach and consultant. When I was at the E. Myth Academy many years ago with Michael Gerber, he said, do this for me. Give me a mirror and show me a small business owner. Show me an entrepreneur. Show me a manager, and I'll show you what the company looks like. Why? Because sometimes we listen to our gut and sometimes we don't. My business partner, Justin Deese, won an award this week for being an incredible service provider for big box stores in the big box world. Why? Because they know how to work the model. Now what happens? They go, and other contractors are in there and they're listening to the model, and they go, wow, it works, and it's profitable and it takes care of clients and all these things. But their gut says, yeah, but I don't know. I don't know. This model. What part of your gut wins? How do you gauge? When do you know? Okay, yes, my gut is being correct or it's just fear. See, we live in a scarcity world. We live in a scarcity mindset. There are so many ways for you to be successful, for you to be happy. At the time I'm shooting this lovey Kirsty, and I just got back from South America, third world country, very happy people. People that are dialed and clear with what they want to do with their life. And yet you live in the U.S. canada, and Australia, and you have so many choices. A lot of times it handcuffs you because you get stuck in here. And I'll leave you with this. My good buddy Les Brown taught me so much about the speaking business. I did 14 cities in five months with Les, and he said this. Get out of your head and get into your greatness. And what that means to me is when you stop living up here and bouncing around and all the fear and all the why you can't and all the different things you can't do, and you get down here and say, why am I here? What's my purpose? How am I going to live on purpose? And lead with intention, my friend. Gauge your gut. Amazing things happen. Until we talk. Have a better than fantastic week and we'll see you soon.
