Kenny Chapman and a co-host ask whether you spend time on noise or value. Most people organize their lives around urgent fires instead of what actually matters. The question: are you reacting to the loudest problems, or choosing what moves you forward?
When it comes to your time, do.
You gravitate toward noise or toward value? Think about where you spend your time. Think about where your energy flows. Think about how you spend your calendar. Think about how you spend your day, your business, your life.
What you do revolves around the noise that's being made.
Most people craft a life based on noise. Whatever the biggest fire is, whatever the biggest challenge is.
Who, whoever, whatever team member is creating.
The biggest challenge gets the most attention. I want you to think about your last week. I want you to think it's Friday in the U.S. what have you done this week? Where has your time gone? Most likely your time has gone to the things that are screaming at you now. If you've crafted time to create value in your life and have valuable time, whether it be relationships, whether it be working out, whether it be the food that you intake, whether it be the strategic work you do on your organization, if you had that built in for this week, there's a good chance you got some of it. Now if you didn't, there's a good chance you got that much of it. And here's what we know most people respond to the noise rather than the value. I want you to challenge yourself this weekend. I want you to think about where your time gravitates and I want you to seek value. Forget the noise. There's always going to be noise. There was when we started in this business. There will be when we execute or exit, I should say this business. In the meantime, I want you to seek value, not noise. Until we talk, my friends. Have a better than fantastic week and we'll talk to you soon.
