Hey, my friends, Kenny Chapman here, the blue collar coach, coming to you with a little message on Friday. Freedom Friday. Focus. What does that mean? That means it's Friday. It means you're free, and it means it's time to focus on something which is actually is a part of what I want to talk to you about today. Now, I want to talk to you about a little simple growth formula, something that I've found very useful in my life, our clients find very useful in their companies and what they're doing. And, you know, when a simple growth formula comes along, like maybe, you know, I'm from the trades, I didn't do well in school. I was taught that I was a dumb kid kind of concept, and I had a hard time learning. And now I've got a quarter million dollars invested in my own adult education and training and understanding how people retain and learn information and process and change behavior and all those different things. And today I want to talk to you about a growth formula that's pretty simple, and it's just three parts, and the very first part is clarity. Right? So you've got to get clear. You've got. Hey, Dan. Hey, Jim. Dan, I was telling you, Jose, my personal trainer, we were talking about your goal coming up, he's doing a marathon. I was telling him about you. So he's sending you great energy, brother. But. But nonetheless, as I think about, you know, maybe I couldn't do great at certain math problems. Now I can add pluses and zeros and balance sheets and income statements, but when it comes to formulas, if you show me something, I can apply it and make it work. And the same is TR for you. And so what I want you to think about today, you know, here we are, we're almost a month into 2018. Hopefully you've got your growth pattern, you got your goals going, you're on track, on pace, making progress, not about perfection, slowly moving the needle, whatever pace is working for you. But I want you to think about these three parts. Number one is clarity. Are you really clear about who you are, what you're really good at, where you want to spend your time, the people you want to be with. See, when we sit back and we look at business planning with our clients, and when we look at planning our lives, we look at relationships, we look at energy, we look at where we want to spend our time, who we want to spend our time around, who we can change the game the most for based on our unique ability. It takes a lot of clarity. The same is true for you. Regardless of your industry, regardless of the service business you might operate and run in. See, there's different things that make you uniquely different. I want you to find that clarity. That clarity sets you free like nobody's business. I've owned what, nine companies in seven industries now over the course of my life and career. And some, some went very well and some not so much. Right? Why? Because I wasn't really clear. Now we get very clear and things begin to happen. God starts to align the stars. Things begin to happen with real clarity. So take a moment. Regardless if you set a resolution or different thing, what are you really crystal clear about? Now? Once you get that, I want you to think about focus, right? So it's Freedom Friday, focus. Let's talk about that focus. I'm very clear about what I want to attract, what I want, eliminate what I need to put on my stop doing list, what I want to start doing this year, whatever that is. I've got that clarity now. I've got to focus on it. I've got to spend time, I've got to have energy. I've got to train my reticular activating system of my brain, which is basically the filter that says, does this make sense to me? The life that I'm creating, the person that I am not becoming the person that I am. All you're doing is peeling back the onion, right? When they asked the great Michelangelo, how did you create the statue of David, what did that look like? Michelangelo just simply said it was easy. I just took away everything that wasn't David. Now what about your own life? Where do you need to peel that onions, pull some things back a little bit? Because it takes that clarity. First and foremost, you get that clarity. Now you get focused on it, you commit, right? There's a difference between what you'd like to do, what you might want to do, and what you're committed to doing. So right now, as you're looking at, we're three weeks in, almost a month into the year. What's the commitment of focus? Where have you lost it a little bit? Where have you got off the track? Remember the little, the little cars would race around on the little slot tracks when you're kids. And of course non conform is going too fast. I spin it off and it tumbles over. What do you do? You put the car back on the track and that's true with your life. And that's where I want you to set yourself free. You find the clarity, you get the focus. Now we go to another f. No, it's not that F word that I try to stay away from on Facebook. But it is the F word that makes life go round, that makes it worth it. The struggles, the cuts, the pain when you're let down, when people's F and integrity show up and they're not who you thought they were. When all those types of things happen, the F word comes to your rescue. And it's fun, man. It's about fun. Justin and I had the opportunity to meet with some guys yesterday that own a company here in the Phoenix market. Went from 0 to 10 million in revenue in seven years from scratch. All organic. Didn't buy revenue, didn't buy companies. All organic. So, you know, when I look at that, you go in there building and the energy is great and the culture is great and the partners get along and the management teams on the same page, and people are having fun. What about you? What about you? As you scale your life, as you scale your company, as you start staring February into the face, let's have some fun. It's Freedom Friday. Focus Fun in February. How about something like that, right? Nonetheless, it's your final Friday in January. I want you to get clarity. I want you to think about what do you want to focus on and have some freaking fun. Life's too short until we talk again, my friends. Have a better than fantastic free Friday. Cheers.
