Hey, my friends, Kenny Chapman here, the blue collar coach, coming to you with a little version of Freedom Friday. Focus. Now, I want you to think about the 80s hit back in the day. A little bit overweight, gentlemen, but many of us remember Meatloaf song. Two out of three ain't bad, right? Well, here's what's interesting. Lovely. Christy and I are selling our place here in Colorado. We're under contract. We're moving full time building a home in Scottsdale right now. And we're like, okay, had the inspection done, got a few things we need to get done. Right? So what does that mean? That means we get the luxury of dealing contractors right now, right? So today we have three. Okay? So we got. I hope we get some electricians jumping on here to see Scott. Good to see you, brother. Levi, think you're on, man. Hope everything's rocking and rolling. So here's the deal, right? Two out of three ain't bad. Think about when clients feel this. Think about how things show up. So we've had one already, the electrician. Now, if we think about how. How do most schedules go? Oh, you know. Yeah, we're gonna be there at 8. Okay? So that's what we got. Electrician's gonna be here at 8. Okay, cool. Nice to call ahead. No, no call. Okay, cool. Well, ten after eight, boom, they show up. Guess what? Ten after. Sometimes people think that's early for a contractor. No. So now we go. Okay, cool. They're on time. Three dudes to run power to a fireplace. Okay, cool. So we got three guys. I'm not gonna put on my business hat or my coach hat. I'm gonna put on my client hat and go, sweet. This is gonna be quick. It's gonna be efficient. I can get back to my day because I'm on a video call training one of our speakers that's speaking at our upcoming Acceleration Days event for our titanium group, May. Right? So I'm running through the presentation, dialing in points and talking points and different things. All of a sudden, my screen locks and I'm like, okay, well, what's going on? Grand Junction Internet. I knew the Internet is faster in Arizona, right? So I'm going, no, no, maybe that's not it. Right? Kind of looking, testing my. My trainer's, like, frozen on the screen, and I look down and then I look at a clock. No power. These dudes killed my power without letting me know. They knew full well I was on a video call. I told them when I answered the door. Now think about you. Think about how this shows up, regardless of industry, regardless of your occupation, it's simple communication. I think it's golden rule somewhere. Oh, you're working and you're utilizing that. Let me communicate with you. Because they were nice enough guys, but now they've done destroyed the like, right? And as soon as that happens, now I've lost everything. They're nice guys. We had a great conversation. They were telling me there's bear crap over by my. By my panel. You know, have you guys seen bears? They're out here. Had a good conversation, but they ruined my morning. See, if I was a guy, the old Kenny, they would have ruined my day, and I'd be all frustrated. But I lost my conference call. I lost my. You know, I. I got stacked appointments. I got several interviews today, and it just interrupted my day where they could have just gone right when I got there. What's the agenda? What's going to happen today? How about I see you're on a video conference? Mr. Chapman, we are going to need to kill the power when we get it run over there. We'll give you a few minutes. Heads up. I could have gone. Cool, man. I'll call you back. We'll reschedule. Just be ahead of it. Communicate. Communicate. And when you think you're done, communicate some more. Because don't leave your client going like we are today. One's bad. Two out of three ain't bad. Fingers crossed till we talk. Have a better than fantastic week. Cheers.
