A short coaching message by Kenny Chapman (the Blue Collar Coach) about the role of confidence and certainty in influence. Chapman emphasizes building individual and team confidence first, then developing certainty—quoting Tony Robbins that in rapport the person with greater certainty creates influence—and connects this to relationship-based selling and delivering a confident client experience.

Hey, my friend Kenny Chapman here, the blue collar coach, your partner in profitability, with a quick message for you about certainty this morning. All of us as leaders in markets with sales and marketing and different opportunities and team members and vendors and different things like that, we're always negotiating, we're always looking to improve things. We're always looking to create influence. Right? Well, here's the thing. Certainty, correct, Creates influence. But we don't start there first. We've got to start with confidence. I come to you a lot about confidence. Confidence is so powerful, so important, so life changing and freeing. And we want to work with our teams to continue to develop more and more confidence. And as they get some confidence, then we want to shift into that next category that we call certainty. Okay? Tony Robbins once said that when there's rapport between two people, whoever has the most certainty will create the influence. When there is rapport between two people, whoever has the most certainty will create the influence. Think about that with your teams. Think about that with yourself. Think about that with your clients. See, we'd like to be able to touch every single client that we come in contact with. Well, we are through our frontline team. Therefore, we need to build their confidence, build their certainty. And when they have that, then they'll go to that place of connection. Okay, so we know that, I mean, we're in the relationship based selling model. All 12 steps of our ultimate client experience are built on creating relationships, educating, understanding, offering options with complete certainty. That's what it's all about, my friends. If you're not 100% certain that you're the company of choice, that you're the right person, dig in deeper. You are, but sometimes you've got to go deeper. I'm Kenny Chapman, the blue collar coach. Until we talk again, my friend. Have a better than fantastic day and I'll see you soon.
