Chapman uses a historical anecdote about Colonel John Linklaine founding Cazenovia, New York (1793) and personal connections to illustrate forward-thinking, then urges listeners to apply that vision to their business, relationships, and finances.

Is your future designed to be bigger than your past? Kenny Chapman here, the blue collar coach. Freedom Friday. Focus. Think about your future, and I want you to think about your past. I'm here with my buddy, Colonel John Linklaine, today in Casanovia, New York, in 1793, Mr. Linklaine here founded this amazing little town where my father in law now makes home. And I want you to just kind of think about your business, your life past, your future. And you always want to make your future bigger than your past. And so I think about when, when John came out here so many years ago, what he must have seen. Christie's family had a camp across the lake years ago when his grandparents were still around. And different things and people come and they want to think about where you are today. Now I want you to think about your future. See, too often we end up looking back and seeing where we came from. Colonel John Linklan would be thinking about what Cazenovia looked like before he got here. But then he was visionary. He was a forward thinker, and he thought about what could this little village turn into. And I don't know if he envisioned anything like it turned out today, but you have the ability to create your own cast. Your life, your business, your relationships, your finance. Always make your future bigger than your past. Until we talk. Make it a better than fantastic Freedom Friday and I'll see you real soon.
