Hey, everybody. Kenny Chapman here, the blue collar coach, coming to you live with this week's video version of Freedom Friday Focus. Now, this week, I want to talk to you about negativity. I want to talk to you about protecting yourself from negativity. As contractors in the service business, in the people business, we run across a lot of negativity. Would you agree that there's a lot of negativity in the world? Of course you would. Would you agree that sometimes contractors can be naysayers? Sometimes we can kind of hold each other down unconsciously, not even attempting to. And it. There's a lot of struggles. There's a lot of challenge. Most people don't make enough money. Most people don't have enough free time. Most people don't get enough quality of life, which is part of my mission with the blue collar success group is to right those things from being wrong. So just because there's a lot of negativity in our industry, I refuse to accept it. I want you to refuse to accept it as well. Okay? So, you know, one of our great thinkers of all time and who studied personal development, Napoleon Hill, talked about closing your mind tightly against negative influence, including those of your closest friends and relatives. Now think about your own life. Think about your own business. Think about your own situation. What are the areas where you need to protect yourself? What are the areas where you need to be really mindful? Who's influencing you? Who might be actually holding you back? Not because they don't want you to do well, because they're coming from their own perspective. Be careful who you hang out with. Be careful who you share information with. Protect your positivity. You've got to grow that in order to make effective decisions. Sometimes you're going to get kicked in the teeth. Sometimes a rug's going to get yanked out from under you. But as my buddy Les Brown says, if you can land on your back, make sure you land. Or if you fall, make sure you land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up. Protect yourself. Don't be negative. Surround yourself with positive people that support your goals and in your company, in your peer group and with your family. I'm Kenny Chapman, the blue collar coach. Until we talk again, have a better than fantastic week, and I'll see you next time.
