A short motivational YouTube monologue by Kenny Chapman (the “blue collar coach”) urging listeners to stop deferring life and to pursue their greatest life and business now. He questions the received wisdom “do what you love” as an excuse to postpone living, illustrates consequences with family anecdotes (mother cancer-free five years; her husband living with early-onset dementia), and issues a call to action to change either oneself or one’s environment and to stop tolerating less than one deserves.

Hey, my friend Kenny Chapman here, the blue collar coach, your partner in profitability with a quick message about doing what you love. We've all heard it. Do what you love, the money will follow. Once you enjoy what you're doing, you'll never work another day in your life. Really? Is that reality? What about go to school, get a good job, find a spouse or a mate and have a child and work there 40 years? And even if you hate your life, you pretend like it's okay so you can finally get to what, retirement? A point where you want to enjoy your life that doesn't work. Yesterday we celebrated five years of my mom being cancer free. We do this while her husband's in a facility for early onset dementia. Lost his life. He's alive, but he's dead. While he's alive at 63 years old, waiting for retirement. They were waiting to live their life. What about you and your career? What about you and your environment? See, one of the things we talk about is when it comes to people in your organization, either change your people or change your people. What about you with your company, the way that you're leading it, the way that you're motivating team and influencing clients? Change your person within or change the environment around you. See, there was a time when I wanted to sell this business and be completely out. I'm grateful. I've got great partners now as we operate the service companies. But my passion is doing what I'm doing right now, helping you maybe move a rock, get out of the way of something and get to your greatest self. See, got more within you, my friend. And I want to see it. See, your greatest life awaits you, but you've got to say yes to it. And in order to say yes to that, you've got to say no to some things that you're currently doing. Stop tolerating. Stop accepting less than you deserve in your life and your business. I'm Kenny Chapman. Until we talk again, have a better than fantastic day and I'll talk to you soon.
