Hey, everybody, Kenny Chapman here, the blue collar coach, coming to you with this week's video version of Freedom Friday. Focus. Now this week I want to talk to you about something and ask you a quick question. Are you a committed contractor? Now don't go off on a tangent. I'm not talking about committed as though some of us might think and some of the people that we talk to in this industry committed as though like committed to insane asylum. Sometimes we feel, I know certain times in my career I felt like that might be the only way out of this thing is take me away, man. That's not what I'm talking about today. I'm talking about commitment when it comes to leading your team. Commitment when it comes to growing your organization. Commitment when it comes to taking care of your family based on your career choices, your development and your implementation. If you want to make more money, bring more value. I don't care what your organization looks like. I don't care what position you hold in the organization. Nobody's going to pay you more until you generate more. That's what it's all about. We live in this entitlement society now. Well, as soon as my boss gives me a raise, then I'm gonna do a little bit more. What? What is that all about? Where does that come from? How about you dig a little bit deeper, you bring a little more fire to the game, you play a little more full out and then reap the rewards. This is what it's all about. We live in America, we live in Australia, we live in Canada. We live in places where we have an opportunity to influence what our future looks like. Now, if you're leading your organization and you're not bringing commitment to the game every day, then you're penalizing somebody. I don't know, but I don't like to penalize. I don't like to lose. I like to win. And that comes from a fire in your belly. If this isn't your calling, then go do something else. See, if this isn't your calling and you're running an ego based organization because your name's on the side of the truck, or you like to go to events and talk about how special and how cool you are, then guess what, you're going to get burnt out. Ego based leadership leads to burnout. If this is your calling, you don't get burnt out. It fuels your fire. You know, this is what it's about. Maybe you need to change some things. Maybe you need to structure a little bit different, differently. John and Robin are far better day to day operators than I am because that's not my thing. I just, I can't deal with the dog ate my homework, I don't have children, I don't deal with all those things. I need to lead leaders and that's where my that's the value that I bring, that's my calling that I bring. The game that keeps my fire. Then they have to find theirs within their own positions to impact our team here. It's the same for you. So let me ask you again, are you committed or are you just going through the motions? Make a decision, do something different. What got you here will not get you there. You must do something different. You've got greatness in you. I know this and I want to see a piece of it. I'm Kenny Chapman, the blue collar coach. Until we talk again, have a better than fantastic day and I'll see you next time.
