A short motivational Freedom Friday video by Kenny Chapman (the 'blue collar coach') urging viewers to define what they are willing to say "no" to in order to preserve focus and pursue higher-level goals. Chapman gives a concrete example (resisting quick service work that dilutes company identity), references lessons from strategic peers and Steve Jobs, and emphasizes that saying no enables saying yes to the right opportunities. The piece closes with a brief sign-off encouraging listeners to practice saying no.

What are you willing to say no to? Successful people have a longer list of a no list than a yes list, than a not to do list, than a to do list. I want you to think about that. Kenny Chapman, the blue collar coach, Freedom Friday. Focus. What are you willing I'm saying willing to say no to? Not what I should say no to. What I could say no to. What am I willing. What am I committed to say no? You might be a service company, a service contractor, but. But, man, there's a quick, easy tenant finish. But we could just knock this out real quick. We could pull some of our newer guys that were training into service, throw them on project because that's what they know how to do, and we'll just knock this out. We'll get some cash flow. But we don't realize we didn't say no. We didn't draw the line in the sand. We didn't decide what type of company we are, who we are supposed to be. I'm coming off a massive strategic week. I had time with strategic coach. I had time with Genius Network. I had time with peers and mentors that challenged me, that asked me questions. And one of the things I want you to remember is for you to elevate. You must say no if you're going to say yes to something else. What are you willing to say no to? Today, the top performers and players in the world have tremendous focus, tremendous discipline. You think about what Steve Jobs said while he was still alive. He said, having clarity, having focus, having discipline means that you are laying awake at night because an opportunity is so good you can't even stand it. And yet that amazing opportunity that keeps you awake, that you can't sleep, that you get those anxious butterflies because it's so exciting. But you say no because you have clarity of who you are, what your purpose is, what the company's purpose is, what the plan is, where we're going, who we're serving, who we will be a hero to. Think about that. What are you committed to? To say no to? To elevate your life where you could say yes. I'm Kenny Chapman, the blue collar coach. Until we talk, make it a better than fantastic weekend and say no sometimes. Cheers.
