Where Do You Find Your Inspiration?

Kenny Chapman reflects on finding passion by watching people at the Grand Canyon, then asks where yours comes from: family moments, your team, community work, or building something that lasts. Spring is the time to act on it.

Hey, everybody, Kenny Chapman here, the blue collar coach, coming to you with this week's video version of Freedom Friday Focus. This week I'm talking about passion, talking about inspiration. We're covering a couple thoughts around where do you find this? How does this drive you? Okay, so, you know, one of the examples I use in the writing this week is about Christy and I just recently visiting the Grand Canyon. The great Grand Canyon. We live in Colorado, my gosh. And we never go over there. So here we are. We're coming to Phoenix for some this week in Scottsdale area, and we said, you know, we're going to stop by. And I look at it and all I see is passion. There's people that are passionate about the pictures, about the hiking, about the biking, the rafting, you know, doing mule rides down to the bottom, hiking in and out, whatever the case might be. Now, we were just there on a quick trip, so we didn't do any of those activities. But as I look out over this vast, amazing thing that Mother Nature created, it makes me think about us and our businesses. Where is our level of passion? Where do we find it? When I look at the Grand Canyon, I see greatness. I can't look at it and not have passion come out in me. And I personally then tie that to my businesses and the things that I'm involved in my life. How does it show up for you? Where is it at? It could be a child crossing a crosswalk could drive that passion for you. It could be the engagement of your team members at your company that drives that. It could be the community work that your profitable business allows you to do that could drive the passion. The inspiration, my friend, this is about you finding yours, not about me or anybody else finding theirs. This is about you. It's about your passion. It's about your inspiration. It's about your business, it's about your legacy. It's about doing the things that drive you this weekend. Take a little time and reflect on this. We're heading into the spring season here in the US Things are growing, things are budding, things are popping. We need to be doing the same as business leaders and individuals in our lives and our relationships. I'm Kenny Chapman, the blue collar coach with this week's version of Freedom Friday Focus. I'll see you next week.
