Hey folks, I'm Kimberly Hobscheid with Entrepreneurs Rocket Fuel and a question that I get asked a lot is what are the most important three things I need to focus on in my business every day? Well, that is a really great question, folks. And I know that if you're like most entrepreneurs, you wake up in the morning to this, right, and it's got tons of email on it and other people's demands and things that we need to focus on. But that is one rabbit hole that you just should not go down first thing in the morning. All of the business experts tell us that we need to accomplish the most important things for us before we get trapped in the email game. And that's a really good advice. So what are the first three things that you need to accomplish in any given business day? All right, well, I would suggest that three really important ones are. Number one, sales. That's right, sales. Do something that promotes the sales of your business. Maybe schedule a webinar, maybe get a Facebook ad going. Maybe figure out who you're going to partner with in order to advance your cause. Maybe schedule a talk, maybe get in front of an audience and have them be able to hear little bit more about who you are and what you do. Build your credibility. Add to your authority tons of different things that you can do that are sales related activities. Sales is probably the biggest failure of businesses because if you are having a problem, it is not a timing problem, it is not an issue problem, it is a sales problem. If you had enough sales, you would have enough money to solve the problem. So the number one thing you need to focus on is sales. Make sure that you have sales productive business activities scheduled in every single day before you get to your email. Number two is delivery. That's right. Find a way to deliver a product or service that you have to a customer. If you are delivering a product or a service to a customer and they are getting benefit out of it, that will give you testimonials that will get you more activity that will get you better at what you do. If you are delivering even if it is for free or for $0.01 or for $1.00. If you are delivering a product or service to somebody else and they are getting value out of it, now you have an opt opportunity to have gotten better at delivering that product or service and have a result from that product or service and be able to tweak that product or service just a little bit so that it sells better the next time. And tomorrow's day of activity of sales will be that Much easier. So if you don't have anything to deliver on, you actually do find a way to take your product or service and get it to somebody that can use it of value right now. If that is for free, maybe that's what you're doing today. I wouldn't encourage you to give it away for free all of the time, but you need to be able to deliver a product or service and get it in front of somebody else so they can give you feedback and then you can get better. So number two is delivery. Number three, gratitude. That's right before you get into your email, before you get into all the rest of this stuff, and after you do sales and after you delivery. Be grateful. Because you know why? Brain science says that if you feel grateful, you feel successful, your brain feels the exact same way. Whether it's grateful or successful, it's the same feeling. It doesn't matter. If you are grateful, you are successful. If you are successful, you will feel the same way scientifically in your brain as you feel when you are grateful. So gratitude is a really easy thing to do, even if it's gratitude for being able to wake up in your own bed instead of traveling. Maybe it's because you're grateful that your kids and your family.
And your business is safe from the fires in California or the hurricane somewhere else or whatever is going on in the world. That you have safety and you are grateful for your health, for your prosperity, for your life, for your continued happiness. Whatever it is, make sure that you hang on to that gratitude and focus on it for a period of time. So those are my big three. Sales, delivery, and gratitude. I hope that's helpful.
