Hey entrepreneurs, if you are trying to get out on stages, good for you. It's a great way to be able to build your know, like and trust and help people find find out more about who you are and what you're up to in the world. But before you get on any stage, there are two things that every entrepreneur needs to know before they get on that mic. Hi folks, I'm Kimberly Crow and I am the founder of Entrepreneurs Rocket Fuel and the co host of Speakers Playhouse, which is an event held on Zoom Live every single week at 10:30am to noon Pacific. And it helps you find stages to get on, whether it's podcasts, radio shows, TV shows, web summits, webinars, and a variety of other topics and stages that you can get on. Super excited to be here today, sharing with you the two things that you need to know before getting on any stage. All right, folks, so number one is before you get on any stage, you want to know at the end of this talk, how do I want my audience to feel? That's right. At the end of this talk, how do I want my audience to feel at the end of the talk? You might want them to feel hopeful, you might want them to feel inspired, might want them to feel angry about something, like something that's an important cause of yours. You want to know what you want your audience to feel at the end of the talk so that as you're giving the talk, you know that you're geared toward giving them that emotion. Remember, an audience will maybe forget what you said, but they won't forget how you made them feel. So that's a really important thing to know right before you start is what do I want my audience to feel? The second thing that you want to know is what do I want my audience to do at the end of this talk? What do I want them to do? What's the next natural step that they can take to continue the conversation with me? Maybe it is check out my website. Maybe it is click on the link below this talk. Maybe it is a live talk in a Zoom room and you drop a link that they can open that they can check out either your website or maybe get a freebie from you. Maybe it's something that's a list builder for you where you collect their name and email address so that you can follow up with them later. Maybe if you're in a live audience, maybe it's meet me in the back of the room and I'll be happy to chat with you. If you want further information, there's a lot of different calls to action that you can give. One of my favorites for for the latest version of any web summit or any podcast that you give is being able to give a texting number, text this key phrase to this phone number and then you'll get automatically a goodie from me. That can be a very powerful call to action if you have a QR code that you can flash that somebody can take a look at and be able to grab your information from the QR code. All of those things can be really powerful, but you got to know which is which. Make sure that it's appropriate for your audience and and know what you want your audience to do at the end of every talk. All right, folks, I'm Kimberly Crow.
