Hi, folks. I'm Kimberly Hobscheid with Entrepreneurs Rocket Fuel. I'm excited. Today we actually have a really cool tip for you that I think is. And I'm not going to oversell this, but I think it is going to transform your business day immediately. For those of you who have a really long to do list and lots of things that need follow up on, I think this tip is going to rock your world and transform how you do business and how much you are able to accomplish in a single day. Just wait. I know that this is something that is really going to be amazing for you. All right, ladies and gentlemen, so how many of you out there have a to do list? Raise your hand if you've got a to do list. Well, if you've got a to do list and there's a lot of things on it and you have a lot of things to follow up on, sometimes those things are like, I start my day with 20 things on the to do list and I add 15 more during the day and I cross off three of them. The problem with that is that to do list always gets longer. Right? It gets amazingly longer. So. So I will tell you that I do not have a to do list. What? Seriously, I don't have a to do list and I haven't for many, many moons. And the secret is amazing. It will transform your life. The reason that I don't have a to do list is because I don't use a to do list. I use my calendar. That's right. I book whatever I need to do on my calendar at a specific time when I'm going to be able to accomplish it. And that way I know that it has the time in order to get done, and I know when I'm going to do and I block out the time in order to make sure that it gets done. Transformative. I'm telling you right now, it was a night and day difference on how much I accomplished during the day. So now I have all of my personal stuff on there and I have all of my business stuff on there. I have when I have errands that I need to run for the house I have on there. Like today I've got to go get tires for the car. And I actually have that blocked on my calendar upcoming for when I'm going to be at the tire place. And I know that I'm not going to be able to do other things during that time because that time is blocked just to be at the tire place. I actually have a time right now on my Calendar for recording videos for you guys. That's right. That way I know that it's going to be able to get done and I'm not hoping to do it and then forget that I need to go to the tire place too. And those two things are not conducive to each other. I mean, I could be recording this video in front of a beautiful set like this. It's actually a real life thing behind me. Those are real trees out there blowing in the wind. Or I could be doing it at the tire place. I could do it at the tire place. But it's much more conducive to do it in such a beautiful place like this, where the timing is right and the lighting is right and the feel is right and you guys get the best quality that you deserve. Now, if you are not already using your calendar, or maybe you are using it, but not for your to do list, I encourage you to take this transformative step and do this. This is on your to do list today. To do say goodbye to my to do list. That's right. That's what should be on your to do list today and transform it into your calendar item. Now, the reason that this is super awesome is because having the opportunity to block time to accomplish a task is really the key to getting that task done. Not only do you know how much time it's going to take and know how much other things cannot fit at that same space, you can know when in your day it needs to be accomplished. So, for example, I am fortunate enough to drop my son off to school every day. So I block that time. I know I'm not going to be able to make phone calls while he's in the car. I know I'm not going to be able to record videos while he's in the car unless for some reason he would be involved in the video. And I know that that's not a good time to plan to do that. So I put this time on my calendar for being able to record videos. And I have a block of time where I'm going to be driving him to school. And then I have a block of time where I'm transporting myself to work. And then I have a block of time where I'm going to be at work and accomplishing certain tasks. Now, there are times where I'm making phone calls to new sales. There's times where I'm working with joint venture and affiliates. There's times when I'm recording new material, doing and creating new videos or webinars or even new programs for people. And that time is blocked on my calendar as well. And so if it's delivery or sales or operations or whatever it is, I actually have time blocked for QuickBooks and making sure that my P and LS match and where they're supposed to be. So whatever it is that you have that needs to be accomplished during the day, the week, the month, make sure to get it on your calendar and block a specific time for it. It will exponentially increase the amount of stuff that you get done because the timing will be right every time. All right, ladies and gentlemen, I hope this was a transformative tip for you and you will do the one thing that's on your to do list today, which is say goodbye to your to do list.
