Hey folks, it's Kimberly Hobscheid with Entrepreneurs Rocket Fuel and I'm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida today. A lot of you know that travel is a big part of my business. Traveling to speak on stages or have meetings or create relationships. And I just got off the marketers Cruise which was 450 people that were looking to create joint venture partnerships and the deals that we made there over time, over their lifetime are going to be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars just because mine alone and other people's will be worth, I mean there's millions of dollars worth of deals that actually happened on that boat. Really fantastic opportunity to be able to get on with a bunch of people who are like minded and create opportunity. And that all happened on a cruise and in beautiful sunny Florida. Actually Florida was raining and not so nice while we were gone. But it's gotten beautiful when maybe, maybe it's me, maybe when I got back. But anyway, I just wanted to remind everybody that if you are working a job or even your business, your entrepreneurial business and you're putting in time and effort because one day you're going to live the dream, I encourage you to spin that around a little bit. I mean a lot of folks make that mistake and spend time, and I did as well, spend time working really hard for two weeks of vacation where you're really going to enjoy yourself and consider the possibility of that you can create a lifestyle around what you want to do by working, doing what you want to do and by working. It doesn't have to be the work that you hate. I was chatting with somebody and I said, you know, I've come to the part of my life where I don't really want to work anymore. And when we were chatting about it, it was not really that I didn't want to work and do the things I loved. I work a lot of hours, I do a lot of cool things. You guys have seen a lot of videos, I travel a whole lot, I have a lot of meetings and I do a lot of business transactions. But I do the parts of the business that I love doing and I don't do the parts that seem like work to me. For those other parts. It actually brought up something that I started really early on, Entrepreneurs Rocket field, which was the road to joy. So if you relish it, that's r you keep doing it. If you love speaking on stages, then do that, make that happen. If you love traveling, then do that, make that happen. If you love meeting people and getting in front of people, then do that, make that happen.
And then the other acronym of ROAD is R O A D. So O is outsource, A is automate, and D is delegate. So R O A D the Road to joy is my methodology for this next generation. And, you know, I hope some of my younger students will take that to heart and not make some of the mistakes that I made. Not necessarily just work to create money so that you can do something you love, but instead create a lifestyle that you really love and have that be your career, your job, your what you do in the world, how you show up in the world. Because it's a lot more fun that way if you can do things that you love doing and then outsource, automate and delegate the rest. And to do that, you need great partnerships and great mentors and great people in your life. So if you don't already have a mentor or a guide or coach or somebody who can walk you through the murky waters of being an entrepreneur, I'd love to talk to you.
