If you don't know the difference in a coach and a mentor and a consultant, you can actually end up hiring the wrong one. That's not exactly right for where you are in your business and the thing that you're trying to get out of it. They all serve as different functions and the same person can be all three, but a coach asks really, really good questions to help you unlock your inner wisdom. A mentor teaches from a place of having been there before, and a consultant is someone who uses their expertise because they built a specific skillset in your exact niche. And you may need all 3 of those different skill sets at different times. So for me, coaching was something that really helped me unlock my inner wisdom and push my personal growth forward and discover things about myself and patterns that were holding me back. However, when I was younger in business, mentorship was the most important of those 3. Learning from someone who had been there before and being able to draw on their experiences helped me eliminate mistakes and move forward faster.
