Being a dad is my highest calling. That overshadows entrepreneurship, coaching, or business, or investing, or any of that other stuff. Time is our only non-renewable resource. Living in alignment means aligning your actions to your values. Being 100% present with my kids when I'm with them. I got divorced in 2019, and I was afraid of losing that time with my kid. I had a conversation with my son when he's grown up, and he asked me, Dad, why'd you stay? And I look at him and I go, for you, son. And his answer was, how dare you put that on me? And what I realized since is the best thing I can do for my kids is not try and shackle together some unhealthy marriage. Let me model a good relationship. Let me show you what being present looks like. I wish that I had the capacity to play 1,000 games and read 17 books. I get distracted just like everybody else does. That's my— that's a primary battle. My son just turned 11 and I have a 5-year-old daughter. They're amazing. It's my greatest, greatest pleasure to be their dad.
