As entrepreneurs, like, we have this idea that we are captains of our own destiny and that everything is on our shoulders and that if we just make all the right decisions, things are going to work out. And we love to ignore like overall market conditions and timing. Alex Formosi is a great example of this. There have been a lot of gym coaching programs over the years, but he just happened to hit the right time with this business model, with a message that resonated. I'm not trying to take away anything from his brilliance as a marketer or business leader, but there's a massive timing component. We look back at that and go, oh, it must be because solely of his genius. And the fact is that he was in the right place at the right time. And so was I. And so was almost every other entrepreneur that I know that has had a massive success. Timing played a huge part in that exit.
