A billionaire with broken family ties versus a San Diego friend who repairs bikes and sails for joy. Real wealth isn't money in the bank. It's what you build inside yourself.

So what's the real difference in being rich and being wealthy? Because they are not the same thing. I've known people who are billionaires, but their wife won't talk to them. You know, their kids want nothing to do with them. And the reality is they are rich, but they are not wealthy. And vice versa. I have an amazing friend in San Diego who drives a bike repair van a couple of days a week and spends his time sailing, riding his bike. And he's one of the happiest people I know. And he may not be incredibly financially successful, from a traditional sense, but he's living a rich life. You know, when we realize that our definition of wealth needs to be detached from money and that wealth can only be cultivated in the soul, that's where the real fun starts.
