Good problem-solvers build mental labyrinths that trap them. Talking with high-performers who think differently surfaces knowledge neither of you knew you needed. The real skill isn't finding answers but asking better questions.

The thing about being good at problem solving is you're also good at creating your own problems. And the mental labyrinth that I built for myself that you have helped me is something that still fascinates me. And so to get to riff on it a little bit more, even just as a way of trying to find my way out a little bit more, sounds great.
I think it's one of the beautiful things about getting around peers that think similarly but entirely different to you is there's an information exchange and flow where you know things I don't know and I know things you don't know, and we can actually help each without trying to extract value intrinsically. It just happens by nature of the flow.
Yeah, I think that's right with high-performing individuals. It's you don't need answers, you just need better questions. And to surround yourself with people who are capable of helping you ask yourself those better questions is magic.
