Two people discuss why we hustle and how to break the pattern. One suggests a five-minute experiment to test if action actually changes anything. The other says the real work is sitting with a question long enough to hear your own answer.

I look at the work as two different ways. I do it, nothing changes, or I do it and something changes. So why not just do it? It allows me to challenge myself in the way I think. You'll ask something and I'll come up with a quick answer, but then when I actually sit with it, it's completely opposites. And I just like, what's the worst that's going to happen? I invest 5 minutes and I'm the same person, or I invest 5 minutes and something changes?
Maybe you find a new way of being. Yeah, and I think it is so critical to give yourself that space and that time to sit with some of these questions and go, okay, yeah, here's my first answer.
Is that really what I think?
Is that actually true? And giving yourself that space, I think, really does pay dividends.
