You lose only if you're knocked completely out of the game. Setbacks are inevitable, but they can't wipe you out financially or relationally. Build safety nets so you can take big bets without risking total loss.

Entrepreneurship is really, really hard. The only way to succeed is to just never get knocked out of the game. So you can take setbacks, but you got to make sure that those setbacks don't wash you out completely. We all love a good hero's journey. We all love a success story. A lot of it comes down to hedging risk and making sure when I'm swinging for the fences or when I'm taking these big bets that I have some sort of safety net or making sure that this isn't going to end me financially or in a relationship or otherwise.
