Hard work doesn't explain wealth inequality. Most people fail at basic financial advice because of deep money stories they absorbed early on. Reshaping these internal narratives won't eliminate money stress, but it can lower it by building a reliable decision-making framework.
Chapters
If hard work was all that we needed to be wealthy, there'd be a whole lot more rich people on this planet. There's so much information on how we should be managing our money and set up a budget and cut out your Starbucks and all of this stuff out there. And there's a reason nobody follows that good advice. And that reason is this cognitive financial programming. So if we can actually peel back the onion on our money stories, now we can reset the baseline. And it doesn't mean that you don't ever worry about money again, but you can start to reduce the amount of stress that you have around money decisions. If I can get a decision-making framework, I can take the stress out of money because I know that the decisions and the habits that I'm building are gonna get me where I wanna go.
