Hard work alone doesn't guarantee success. Billions of people work backbreaking jobs daily but aren't wealthy. Risk-taking, timing, and working smarter matter far more than effort.
Chapters
One of the biggest ones I like to talk about is work hard and you'll be successful. This is the greatest lie ever told because if hard work was the only thing we needed to be successful, there would be 7 billion rich people on this planet because there are so many people that engage in backbreaking labor every day. And it's so condescending when you hear a rich person go, oh yeah, if you just work hard, that's how you create success. And people go, I don't know, man, I'm working pretty hard and I don't feel very successful. So there's got to be something else in that equation that is more important than hard work. There's risk, there's timing, there's working smarter, there's creating your own way of doing things. Like, all of those are more important than actual hard work.
