The speaker (creator: appreciated-haze) shares a first-person account of making small habit changes that produced major life shifts. They restarted Peloton exercise (last ride noted as 9-16-22), used that physical challenge to reflect on capacity and priorities, and described moving from a busy agency model to building a newsletter business. Concretely, they carved out one hour per day to create newsletters, which scaled into a small newsletter empire and enabled the business to support their family’s lifestyle rather than them trading time for dollars.

The change up that changed my life. Just recently, I decided to change things up. And I fired up the dusty old peloton. Last ride was back in 9-16-22. Crazy, right? So cardio, not my vibe. So I decided it was time to start a new wrinkle to my routine, right? And let me tell you, my first ride had me sweating and panting like my dog tucker. So during that workout, my mind started to wander and I started thinking, you know, we're all capable of way more than we think. For example, when I started my newsletter business, I had a thriving agency that kept me extremely busy. But I wanted to start a new business that was less of a time for dollars trade off than what I had. But the only issue was I didn't know where to find the time, so I had to actually make that time. So what I did, I carved out one hour per day to build my new newsletter business. You have to do that in business if you want to make it happen. And my brain had been tricked me into thinking that I'm only worthy of producing if I was actually trading time for dollars, right? But then I learned that to lean into that simplicity, I built more newsletters and turned one hour at a a small newsletter empire. And at the end of the day, we're not running out of time. We're just not prioritizing what really matters in the time that we have. So me, my goal is to stop trading time for dollars. And that goal led me down a new path that flipped the script for me. That change up went from me supporting my business to my business supporting my family's lifestyle.
