A short dialogue (podcast/video) about the need for churches to go beyond preaching to foster genuine transformation around sexual-health-related struggles. Speakers emphasize vulnerability, confession, community-based support, and reframing such issues as widespread rather than isolated.
It just isn't effective at really the transformation that's necessary for people to get free.
You can be so sincerely in love with Jesus and doing your best to live for him and be in the Word and be in prayer and still struggling along with this unresolved issue, because you've never been given the tools or the community you need to actually find transformation there.
But if we're going to have victory and success in the local church, we have to do more than amazing preaching. We have to have these communities that are based around vulnerability and confession.
One of the keys, I think, is when we make that transition from believing this is a few people with a small problem or a small number of people with this problem, to recognizing this is everybody everywhere.
