Pure Desire: Who We Are

Pure Desire Ministries is a sexual integrity ministry that is passionate about offering hope, healing and freedom from sexual bondage. In the early 1990s, Dr. Ted and Diane Roberts, pastors in a local church, saw the brokenness and destruction that sexual bondage brings into families and the church. Their passion to offer hope to those struggling led Ted and Diane to begin a ministry of healing and freedom for the church. That ministry was Pure Desire. Out of this passion, Pure Desire offers events and programs that inform, educate and equip churches with the tools and weapons necessary to effectively break free from sexual brokenness. Combining relevant and practical teaching with the neurochemistry of addiction and the structure for an effective purity ministry, Pure Desire has multiple events that work to come alongside the church to empower them to win the battle for purity. Pure Desire is devoted to producing biblically based and clinically informed group materials that help create a roadmap for healing. Understanding that a safe and confidential community is the key to healing, Pure Desire's international and regional group leaders help churches create and maintain groups that build communities of vulnerability and self awareness, offering a space to find healing and freedom from the effects of sexual brokenness. Through our Pure Desire Leaders program, we create partnerships with churches, districts or denominations, empowering them to create a safe, confidential process for pastors to find hope and healing before a crisis occurs. As pastors lives are transformed, they are more able to lead their churches on the very same journey of freedom. Pure Desire also offers a clinical program employing a team of experienced clinicians who are uniquely qualified with years of both ministry and counseling experience. Our clinical team is comprised of experience and trusted ITAP certified sex addiction professionals. They're equipped to offer counseling around the world with up to 80% of our current counseling being received via online video conferencing. In a world that is drowning in a flood of sexual brokenness and pain, there is no greater time for the church to rise up and meet this crisis head on.
